CTO – SaaS solutions for people working for a better world
Winorg is a well established Norwegian company specialising in delivering SaaS solutions for labor unions, membership organizations, humanitarian organizations and other NGOs working with volunteers. The company is on a journey to build tomorrows SaaS solutions for Norwegian and Nordic NGOs, and are looking to extend the management team with a hands-on CTO that will help us transform.
As CTO of Winorg you will be an important part of Winorg’s management team and report directly to the CEO. You will cooperate closely with our product management team as well as our in-house and near-shore development teams. While we expect you to help chart the course and make the right technological and architectural choices in close cooperation with stakeholders in the organization, we also expect you to be able to dive in and participate hands-on in development projects and trouble-shooting. Some customer contact is to be expected.
Winorg’s 30 employees work out of our office in central Oslo, or from home offices. In addition we work closely with a number of partners providing development and other services.
We think you may be an experienced developer, tech-lead or architect wanting to take on new challenges while being able to continue to be hands-on at least in the first part of our growth journey. You should have good communication skills in English, and knowledge of any of the Nordic languages would be a great pluss. Curiousity and ability to learn and try out new possibilities are important, while also being able to work with and get the most out of existing technology solutions. Being able to inspire and support the development of new competency in our development team will also be important.
Winorg’s SaaS solutions are currently delivered using Oracle Cloud and Microsoft Azure, and it’s been developed as a .net based web front-end on top of an Oracle database where we also utilize PL/SQL.
Our solutions help NGOs to manage and communicate with their members, donors, employees, volunteers and other contacts, while gattering information for analtics and machine learning with an aim to improve understanding and increase automation and usability. The solutions contain large amounts of personal data that must be handled securely in accordance with GDPR, while also being the hub of the NGOs information with integrations to a number of 3rd party services such as payment providers, print and distribution, data providers etc. We want to help the NGOs to get more time to work for their causes and spend less time worrying about IT or doing unnecessary administrative work.
Do you think you could step-up and join this journey?
